Let’s take a tour of your STUDIO, where you’ll be filming your production.

This is STUDIO. From here, you’ll be able to design and generate your complete video. We’ll divide this screen into four parts:

On the left, we have our scenes.  Here you can add a new scene to your project by clicking on the plus sign OR add layouts from the templates library.  Templates are how to give your video more of a professional look and feel and you can browse the library here or from your dashboard. You can also click on this arrow to go back to your library and dashboard, but for now, let’s stay in this project.

In the middle we have our most important areas – your canvas and script box.  This is where you’ll be changing the elements onscreen and telling your avatar what to say. You can select elements, move them around, resize them, and edit content right on the page. If you’re familiar with Powerpoints or Google Slides, elements in STUDIO work the same way so you’re already on your path to being a video creator.

On top, we have our tool bar where you can add different elements to your canvas such as your avatar, text, shapes, video or images, or a screen recording.

Over here on the right is your Styling panel, which will help you edit specific elements of your canvas in more detail. When I click on each element, the styling panel will change to show options specific to that element.  If you’re not ready to see everything on this page, simply click the arrow to close the dropdown menu.

Finally, up in the corner, you’ll see the preview icon and the generate button.  At any time you can preview your project to what it looks like as a video draft.  This can be useful for testing out your avatars script or animations before creating your video.

Once you’re finished, you’ll click the Generate video button to create your finished video. Your avatar won’t animate in Preview mode.  Your synthetic human wants to make sure that you finished editing its lines before it puts on a show.

When you’re ready to start creating in STUDIO, I’ll show you how to create your first video.
