Interactive Avatar FAQs
What can I create using Interactive Avatars?
Interactive Avatars can be used to explore experiences for products, websites, internal tools, training flows, support journeys, kiosks, and other conversational use cases.
Can I bring my own LLM?
The beta is designed for teams that want to connect their own LLM, agent, or conversational logic and use Synthesia to power the avatar layer.
How does the integration work?
The Synthesia Interactive Avatar is a plugin component you attach to your LiveKit Agent. Your agent produces speech the way it always does. The component then routes that audio to the hosted avatar worker, which renders an expressive Interactive Avatar and publishes it to your LiveKit room as a regular participant.
Is this a public API already?
Not yet. Interactive Avatars is currently available through a closed beta while we test quality, latency, integration patterns, and enterprise requirements with selected teams.
How can I get access to the closed beta?
Submit the early access form and tell us what you’re building. Our team will review requests and follow up with selected teams.
What are the current limitations?
Interactive Avatars is still in beta. We are actively improving quality, expressiveness, listening behaviors, interruption handling, latency, and repeatability across sessions.
