What is a Survey Session?
A Survey Session is a one-to-one interview conducted by an Interactive Avatar. It asks your questions, listens, and probes deeper where it matters, giving you the depth you'd get from sitting down with someone at the scale and cost of sending a form. It captures every response and hands back structured insight.
How does a Survey Session work?
You create a survey by describing it to the Assistant, or by setting the goal, questions, and follow-up depth yourself.
The Avatar then interviews each respondent one to one, showing the current question and a progress bar as it goes.
When responses are in, you get an AI-written summary of the themes across every conversation, plus every individual response to explore, including the full transcript and audio.
How is a Survey Session different from a normal survey or form?
A form can't ask a follow-up question. It captures whatever fits in its fields and stops there. A Survey Session responds to what each person actually says and probes deeper, so you learn the "why", not just the "what". Respondents talk to a lifelike Avatar rather than clicking through multiple choice, so it feels like being heard, not processed. And because they're talking rather than typing, people say more than they'd ever write in a text box.
What do respondents experience?
They join a conversation with an Avatar that asks your questions and reacts to their answers. The current question shows on screen with a progress indicator, so they always know where they are and how much is left. There is nothing to install and nothing to set up. They just talk.
How do I create a survey?
Two ways. Describe what you want to learn in the Assistant, attach any relevant documents, and it turns it into a survey. Or build it directly in the Editor with a survey scene: set the avatar and voice, define the goal, add your questions, and choose how deep the follow-ups go on each one.
How do I see the results?
Every raw response lands in a single table, one row per respondent, exportable to CSV. On top of that, an AI-generated report summarizes the key themes and takeaways across the whole survey, exportable as a PDF. You can also open any individual session to read the full transcript and hear the answers in the respondent's own words.
Does it replace our pulse or engagement tool?
No. Survey Sessions is built to capture the open-ended "why" that pulse and engagement tools can't, not to replace the tracking itself. Keep measuring scores where you do today, and use Survey Sessions to understand what is driving them.
