TKE x Synthesia
We spoke with Norma Hernández, Global Head of Development and Culture, and José Luis Gutiérrez, Senior Manager, Global HR Development, to learn how Synthesia helped TKE deliver one strategic message to its entire global workforce, in 32 languages, built in a single month.

TK Elevator (TKE) builds and services elevators and escalators in buildings around the world. With around 50,000 employees that span dozens of countries, and around half of them work in the field, not at a desk.
The Challenge
When TKE wanted to roll out a new set of operating principles, the message was clear. How to deliver it wasn't.
TKE has approximately 25,000 field technicians. These employees work in vans, on job sites, and travel between customers to appointments, so the training had to travel with them. The old playbook couldn't keep up: English-only PowerPoint and drop-in sessions that assumed everyone sat at a desk and spoke English.
"Before Synthesia, we had consistency issues. A message that didn't land, because it wasn't localized," says José Luis Gutiérrez, Senior Manager Global HR Development at TKE.
The Solution
TKE didn't have to start over. Synthesia turned the PowerPoint decks the team already used into presenter-led AI video, fast.
"With Synthesia, we take a relevant step across our employee base into the AI world." - José Luis
No film crews, no waiting on translations, better defined localization.
Translation alone wasn't the goal though, relevance was. Working with local teams, TKE tailored every version, down to the avatar's appearance, so it felt native rather than imported from headquarters. "I'd get on a call with colleagues in each region and tell them we wanted to get this right," says José Luis. "Your language matters. Your culture matters."
The Impact
What would have taken months of outsourced production took one. And 91% of employees completed the training, the highest rate in TKE's history.
"A technician in Malaysia can now hear our message in their own language. That has been a game changer." - José Luis
For technicians, that meant a single six-minute video they could watch between jobs, in a van or even an elevator, instead of losing a day to classroom training.
- 32 videos in 32 languages - built and shipped in a single month
- 3x faster than outsourced production
- 17,433 hours returned to the business
For the first time, one message reached the whole company at once, every level, every region, and stayed live for anyone to revisit. When something needs an update, the team does it themselves. No starting over.
What's Next
TKE isn't stopping at one message. Its entire Performance Management L&D program is being rebuilt the same way, putting on-demand learning in front of every employee, in every language.
"For the first time, we'll have training on Performance Management for every employee - whenever they need it, whatever their role. We never had that before." - Norma Hernández, Global Head of Development and Culture at TKE.
It's a change employees feel, too. "It's like a streaming service now," says Norma. "You just click the language you want to hear and away you go." For a workforce of 50,000 people - spread across the world, rarely at a desk - that's the whole company, finally, in the same room.
